Online Counseling – Tue, Wed & Thu
With compassion and grace, I will work with you to establish clear goals based on your specific needs and desires. Whether you’re looking to experience fewer panic attacks, stronger relationships, improved sleep, stabilized moods, or renewed purpose, tools are available for your healing and growth. Through proven techniques including communication tools, grounding exercises, boundary-setting strategies, and more, I will journey alongside you as you grow from strength to strength.
A common theme throughout my career has been relationship issues in all their forms and aspects, from managing boundaries, setting limits, and developing clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills to addressing intimacy issues and dealing with power struggles or problem resolution. Stress, anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviors often result from how we are intertwined in the lives of others. By learning, we find that they are less likely to disappoint us and our relationships become healthy.
Since each individual and couple is unique, I do not use a “cookie cutter” approach to counseling. My role as your counselor is to meet you where you are in every session and to share ideas, to stimulate thought, to respect your individual struggles and abilities, and to be a creative part of your movement toward your goals. Once your goals have been met, you will have ultimately developed healthy coping skills to utilize in all areas of your life. Gaining a deeper understanding of yourself will also give you a higher sense of esteem and confidence.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My aim is to help you grow in your understanding of yourself, your circumstances and your God, learn helpful coping skills, and gain tools to achieve healing. Together we will establish and set clear, attainable goals based on your unique objectives. As your faith-based therapist, my goal is for you to experience reduced symptoms, greater self-awareness including your identity in Christ, healthier relationships, and renewed purpose in the Lord.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a compassionate, supportive, confidential space where you openly share your story and explore ways to experience the growth you desire. We’ll create a customized treatment plan to meet your individual goals. Together we’ll take steps to uncover the causes of some of your struggles and develop practical strategies to overcome whatever challenges you face. As we celebrate progress and build momentum, we’ll adjust our approach to maximize progress and growth.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
Our whole lives are a work in progress. At times, the challenges of the past and the current struggles of daily living can feel overwhelming and we can get lost and stuck. When this happens, faith-based coping tools and changing our thinking with the help of Christian counseling can be effective.
As a Christian counselor, I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me in each session. I also love the opportunity to speak biblically over my clients, pray with them, and help them align their lives with the Word of God.
Qualifications & Experience
The Lord has blessed me with over 25 years of counseling experience. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Science degree in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and also a LCSW-Supervisor. I have completed Emotionally Focused Therapy Training and am Level One certified as an EMDR therapist.
I have also completed a variety of continuing education courses over the past twenty years, including training in treating sexual addiction, codependency, marriage enrichment, addiction, eating disorders, infidelity, and more.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I gave my life to Christ when I was ten years old. I knew early in high school that I was called to help people, and this is where He led me. God has placed it on my heart to help others rely on the Great Healer and lead people to or back to Christ as the center of it all.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I love my pool, plants (especially succulents), reading, and growing in the Word. I enjoy spending time with my two adult daughters, being outdoors, and traveling with friends and family. You can always bet I am looking up – I love the blue sky and white puffy clouds, and sunsets and sunrises are my favorite. I love to look at the BEAUTY He has created for us to see.

Marriage and Couples Counseling
I’ll walk alongside you and your partner as you navigate communication breakdowns, trust issues, and other relationship challenges. As a Christian couples counselor, I believe God designed relationships for connection, honesty, and mutual support, and together we’ll work to restore those foundations. Whether you’re preparing for marriage, healing after betrayal, or feeling stuck in ongoing conflict, I offer a welcoming, grace-filled space where both partners can be heard.
Depending on your goals for therapy, we can address premarital counseling, intimacy issues, co-parenting struggles, in-law family dynamics, and much more. My goal is to help you communicate well, restore emotional bonds, and cultivate a relationship marked by unity, respect, and renewed hope in the Lord.
Women’s Issues
I’m passionate about supporting women who feel weighed down by societal expectations, caregiving demands, and unresolved trauma. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, relationship patterns, anxiety, or depression, I’ll journey with you as you cultivate a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself, others, and the Lord.
As a Christian therapist, I believe the created you with purpose, dignity, and a unique, God-given identity. Women’s counseling isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s a collaborative, grace-filled space where we can work together to challenge harmful narratives, process trauma safely, and establish boundaries that honor your emotional and spiritual well-being.
Addictions
If you feel trapped in addiction—whether it’s substance abuse, compulsive behaviors, or codependent patterns—I would be honored to walk alongside you toward freedom and recovery.
As a Christian counselor, I believe God offers lasting hope, healing, and restoration. I offer a confidential, shame-free space where you can begin to understand the emotional, relational, and spiritual roots of your struggle. I’ll help you identify triggers, strengthen skills to prevent relapse, rebuild trust, and break cycles of enabling or self-defeat. My goal is to help you rediscover your identity in Christ beyond addiction by cultivating healthier relationships, renewed purpose, and the freedom God desires for you.
Eating Disorders
Whether we’re addressing anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, or orthorexia, my goal is to help you cultivate nourishment rather than fear, compassion rather than shame, and freedom rather than secrecy. As you integrate practical skills with biblical truth, my aim is for you to experience a healthier body image, more supportive relationships, and a renewed sense of emotional and spiritual freedom around food. As an individual made in the image of God, you were created with dignity and inherent worth, and together we’ll work to restore peace with food, your body, and your identity in Christ.
I’ll help you untangle harmful beliefs, challenge rigid food rules, understand emotional triggers, and reconnect with your body’s signals in a safe, structured way. We’ll explore how anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, or loneliness may be fueling disordered patterns, and replace them with grounding techniques, mindful eating, and balanced self-care.
Codependency
Codependency can be an exhausting cycle. If your worth feels tied to someone else’s approval or if caring for yourself feels “selfish,” I can help you break free from unhealthy bonds and establish realistic boundaries.
Together we’ll work to identify people-pleasing patterns and practice grace-filled communication. As we integrate biblical truth with practical tools, you’ll learn to recognize when helping becomes enabling, release unhealthy responsibility for others, and build relationships grounded in mutual respect rather than obligation.
