Stacy Davis, MS, LPC Associate
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
Life is not always easy, and we all struggle at times. The good news is that Jesus Christ can take our mess and turn it into something that is beautiful. He can take the hardest moments of our lives and turn them into growth opportunities to experience peace, joy, and a purpose. Even through pain, trials, and tribulations, we can find hope in the Lord. Clients will benefit from the supervision I receive from Wylie Martin, LPC-S, a clinical supervisor with expertise in Christian counseling, rehabilitative services, clinical diagnosis, clinical case management, and more. As your therapist, I will walk with you through the trials you are facing and help you find realistic solutions, relying on God for direction and guidance for your path.

Sometimes life can throw us into unexpected circumstances. While we are not promised a perfect life, God does promise believers that He will never leave us. I’ve spent countless hours working in the public school system, church ministries, crisis pregnancy centers, local correctional facilities, and with everyday people in office. As your counselor, I will use my experience and relationship with God to help you overcome the challenges you’re dealing with – whether anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, or other concerns. I offer counseling for teens, adult individuals, couples, and families, and look forward to seeing how God uses our time together for your good and His glory.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My hope is that through our time together, you will find healing and achieve personal growth in the areas that have become challenging for you. Since you are the expert on the details of your own life, part of my job as your counselor is to help you identify the deep-rooted issue that you’re struggling with and offer tools to help you work through those personal struggles.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can feel safe and welcome to share your thoughts openly. During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. I will listen attentively to your story and work with you to design goals for future counseling sessions. I also offer space for the Holy Spirit to guide our sessions as we rely on Him for ultimate healing and restoration.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
My faith in the Lord is the most important aspect of my life. As a Christian counselor, I am able to receive knowledge, wisdom, and guidance from the Lord that I can then use to help my clients learn more about Him and find lasting solutions to their problems.
I believe God is the ultimate healer and that all counseling points back to Him. If we put our faith and hope in Christ, He can redeem and restore all things. He can bring the peace and strength needed to deal with anything that comes our way.
A Christian approach to counseling focuses on Jesus as the One who has full authority and power over our lives to help us live lives victoriously with Him as our guide. We can look to Him for the answers and healing that we desire, instead of from within ourselves. The Bible is a guide given to us by God to help us navigate life’s challenges. By combining a Christian approach to healing with traditional psychology, clients can find lasting hope and healing in their lives.
Qualifications & Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of North Texas and my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health at Texas A&M University at Commerce. I hold an LPC-A License in Counseling.
My Call to Christian Counseling
I have always known that I wanted to help people in my life. As a young teacher, I was deeply impacted by the needs of my students. I wanted to help students succeed in a life that was not easy and oftentimes not fair. I realized that I could encourage them and provide them with the support they needed to feel loved and heard.
Later in life, I was blessed by having a counselor of my own and saw the great value in the therapeutic alliance. My counselor walked alongside me in a very difficult time in my life. I want to be able to bless others by bringing hope and encouragement to their lives, while pointing them to Jesus Christ who heals our wounds. God is the ultimate healer, and I have experienced that firsthand in my own life. I want to lead my clients to the author and perfecter of our faith, and the One who holds the world in His hands.

Anxiety
It’s very common to struggle with the “what ifs” in life. The unknown can be scary, but therapy for anxiety can be highly effective by working on present-minded thinking practices. When we wrestle with our past, we are usually left feeling depressed. When we focus on the future, we are usually plagued with anxiety. However, if we stay in the present moment and focus on the things that are all around us, we can find peace. In the present moment, we can invite the Lord into our thoughts. In return, we can feel His presence become magnified in our lives. In Philippians 4:8, the Bible tells us that we can focus on “whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure . . .” By focusing on what God is doing right now, we can find peace and healing in the Lord.
Depression
Depression is characterized by sadness, irritability, having little energy to perform daily tasks, loss of sleep or appetite, and many other symptoms. It can leave us feeling hopeless and depleted. It is important to first recognize what is causing our change of mood, and identify triggers associated with our depression. With God’s enabling, it is possible to find hope in Him in times of weakness. As we rely on Him to help us center our thoughts on things above and what the Bible says, He can help us find hope, joy, and peace again.
Trauma
Life is hard, and eventually we all will face some form of trauma in our lives that feels unredeemable. Childhood trauma can have a huge impact in a life if left untreated. When a client deals with a traumatic event, there is a tendency to push the negative feelings and emotions that follow the event to the back of the mind. This is called suppression, which causes more issues in life if not dealt with.
One of the most powerful methods in treating trauma is providing the client with a safe place to express their emotions and feelings associated with what has happened to them. By voicing this event, the client is able to start the healing process. Sometimes clients have faulty thinking about the event, which may cause a roadblock in their healing journey. By re-experiencing the trauma in a safe space with a counselor, clients can rewrite the faulty narrative that has them feeling stuck and take back control over their lives. Jesus wants to heal us from our painful past and memories. Once we surrender our past and pain to the Lord, He can begin to heal the wounded parts in us.
Teen Counseling
Counseling can be an effective tool for teenagers, because it allows them a space to feel seen and heard. While trying to navigate their own lives and make decisions, they also may feel judged by parents or adults. This can be a challenging time. Common struggles include low self-esteem, identity issues, bullying, peer pressure, drug or alcohol addiction, friendships, divorce care, childhood trauma, decision-making skills, and many others. Offering support is key in helping teens achieve success in school and adulthood. Early preventive care is an effective tool when dealing with behavior issues. Using psychoeducational resources, teens can learn how to make good choices in a wide range of issues that they may be struggling with. Career and guidance counseling can help teens make career choices and learn about the different options that they have for their future.
Online Counseling
Online counseling is a new and creative way to see clients. This platform became successful during the pandemic, and many people found healing in the comfort of their own homes. We offer clients a confidential session on a HIPAA-compliant platform that is very effective when treating a wide range of mental health issues. In my experience, I have found online counseling to be highly effective when treating clients who cannot otherwise be seen in office.
